Foundational & Obedience Training

Service Description

Foundational & Obedience Training is designed for puppies and dogs working through everyday training needs such as: puppy development, basic and advanced obedience, crate training, potty training, and general manners. These sessions focus on building clear communication, structure, and trust between the dog and handler. Our approach is rooted in dog psychology and behavior. Rather than relying on quick fixes and surface-level corrections, we teach handlers how their dog thinks, learns, and responds to the environment. By understanding the why behind a behavior, we can address issues at the root and create long-term results. Training progresses at the dog’s pace to ensure learning remains fair, and effective. A major emphasis is placed on developing a proper canine–human relationship built on clarity, consistency, and accountability. The human is worked on more than the dog, as it is crucial for the owner to do what the trainer is doing. If the owner is not educated and changes their behavior, the dog will likely not achieve the results we want. This program is appropriate for dogs without a history of aggression or bite risk. Dogs with known bite history or assessed bite risk are not eligible for Foundational & Obedience Training and must enroll in our Behavior Modification sessions.
