Group Class
Group Class is designed to help dogs and handlers work around real-world distractions in a controlled, structured environment. These classes focus on neutrality, obedience, confidence, and handler skills while working around other dogs and people. Group class is ideal for dogs who need proofing, socialization, or help managing reactivity, nervousness, or over-excitement.
Each group class is tailored to the dogs attending. Every dog-handler team is working on individual goals, whether that’s calm behavior around other dogs, improving focus, building confidence, or refining obedience. Dogs are not allowed to directly interact — neutrality and structure always come first.
Some dogs attend group class to work through fear, reactivity, or nervousness around dogs or people. Our goal is to provide a safe, judgment-free environment where dogs can learn to remain calm and neutral while building confidence at their own pace. All dogs are worked within their limits, and proper spacing and structure are always maintained.
Owners learn how to guide their dog through confidence-building and environmental agility challenges, develop a better understanding of their dog’s behavior, and build trust in their dog’s ability to make good decisions.
Requirements:
Group Class requires an Evaluation Session or prior 1:1 training with Balanced K9ines. This helps ensure that handlers understand our training methods and that you and your dog are prepared for the group environment. Our goal is always to set both the humans and the dogs up for success.
Group Class pairs well with ongoing 1:1 training and is also a great next step after completing a Board and Train program.
