Service Description

Our Board & Train program is an intensive, immersive training experience designed to create meaningful, lasting change for both dog and handler. Program length is case-dependent and supports a wide range of needs, from puppy development and proper socialization to advanced obedience, off-leash reliability, and complex behavioral cases, including human- and dog- aggression or reactivity. Dogs live and train with us full-time, but this is not a traditional “drop-off and pick-up” board and train. Our work is rooted in dog psychology and behavior, with an emphasis on addressing root causes rather than suppressing symptoms. Training is handled with structure, intention, and consistency throughout the day. All training progresses at the dog’s pace. Unlike short-term programs that rely on forced compliance, we prioritize decompression, emotional regulation, and trust. This approach requires more time, but it produces clearer communication, stability, and long-term results rather than temporary behavior suppression. Owner education is a critical component of this program. Throughout the stay, clients receive frequent update videos, including educational breakdowns explaining what we are working on, why we are doing it, and what changes will be required at home. This ensures the human is learning alongside the dog and prepared to maintain progress after the program. Clients also participate in weekly in-person sessions during the Board & Train to work directly with their dog and trainer. At the conclusion of the stay, a two-hour go-home session is conducted to transfer skills, expectations, and handling techniques. A minimum of three follow-up sessions are included after the dog returns home to support transition, consistency, and long-term success. We accept only one Board & Train per trainer. This allows your trainer, Jaidyn or Johnny, to focus fully on your dog and provide the level of attention this program requires. Our approach prioritizes quality over quantity. Program Length Requirements: Standard Board & Train programs require a minimum of 3 weeks. Behavioral, aggression, or bite-risk cases require a minimum of 4 weeks. Additional weeks may be required based on behavior, training goals, or safety. Final program length is determined after evaluation and trainer approval. This program is designed for owners who want more than temporary results and are committed to understanding their dog, maintaining structure, and following through long term.
